We are based out of Subhas Das’s place over in Barghata. It's a small spot in the Rupuspur area of Birbhum. Most of us here have been farming these lands for years, and we finally decided to get together as Khoyrasole Pkvy Farmers Producer Company Limited. It’s mostly just a group of local people trying to handle things better for our families. Working in the sun all day is hard, and being part of this company helps us manage the seeds and the selling side of things a bit more fairly. You can find us right at address number 01. We aren't a big office with fancy chairs or anything like that. It’s just a room where we meet to talk about the crops and what the weather is doing. Sometimes the rains are late and we have to sit and figure things out together. Living in West Bengal, especially in a place like Birbhum, means you learn to work with what the earth gives you. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the work we do in the fields actually pays off. It’s a lot of paperwork sometimes, which none of us really like, but we do it to keep things official. If you come by Rupuspur, you'll see how we live and work. It's pretty quiet around here usually. We just keep our heads down and focus on the harvest.
