Krishiprayag Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out in Parulia village. You can find us at Mukul Das’s place on Plot No. 169. It’s a simple spot, nothing too special to look at, but it works for what we need. We are basically a group of farmers who decided it was better to work together than to keep struggling on our own. Parulia is a good place for farming, but the logistics are always a bit of a headache. We spend a lot of our time just figuring out who has what ready to harvest and where it needs to go. Mukul handles a lot of the coordination from his house. It’s not a formal setting; you’ll usually find someone sitting on the porch talking about soil quality or the price of fertilizer. We don't have a big staff or a secretary. If the phone rings, one of us picks it up, assuming we aren't out in the fields. We’ve had some tough seasons lately, but being part of this company helps us share the burden. It’s all very practical and down-to-earth. We don't use big words or have a grand vision. We just want to make sure the work we put into the ground actually pays off at the end of the day. It’s just local people doing what they’ve always done, just under a shared name now to make the paperwork side of things a bit more official.
