You can find us in Vill-Bikramdihi, which is in the Ranibandh area of Bankura. Kasaikumari Farmers Producer Company Limited is basically a local collective. Our office is in the P.O-Dhagara area. It is a very rural spot, quite far from the big cities. We deal with the day-to-day realities of farming. There are about 722135 people who know this place by heart. We are not some big corporation from far away. We are just the people you see in the fields every day. The office is small and we often have to clear off a spot on the table to write things down. We talk about irrigation, weather, and where to get a fair price for our harvest. It’s a lot of practical talk. Sometimes we sit around for hours just trying to figure out a problem with a tractor or a delivery. The air is clean here, and it is mostly quiet except for the birds and the occasional motorbike passing by. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just talk to each other face to face. It’s a simple life and we like it that way. We are just trying to make sure the farmers in Bikramdihi have a way to get their work done without too much trouble. It is a community thing more than anything else. We've been here for a while and plan to stay here doing the same thing for the neighbors around us.
