Ektarani Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our company is based at Sabel Suren’s place. The address is in the village and tola of Kahbarabishunpur, which is in Majhua (East) near Raniganj. We are the Ektarani Farmer Producer Company Limited. It is really just a group of us farmers from the local area who joined up to do business together. We do not have a big fancy building or any signage. It is just a regular house in the village where we handle our affairs. Sabel is the one who helps keep the mail and the books straight. We spend our days out in the fields mostly. Being in Raniganj, we are used to the local conditions and the way things work around here. We are not a big corporate entity. We do not have any mission statements or high-level goals. We just want to grow our crops and sell them for a fair price. It is hard work being a farmer, and being in a producer company helps us share the load. We meet up when we need to and decide what to do as a group. It is very informal and we like it that way. We do not try to sound like experts.
