Yatdam Navkrishak Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in the Yatdam Circle area, specifically at Yankang in Namtok. We are in the Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. Our contact point is C/O Nongmi Kungkho. We are a group of farmers from this circle who wanted to have a proper name for our group. We grow things that are common in this region, like ginger and other vegetables. The work is mostly done by hand, and it can be quite tiring, but it’s the life we have. We don't have an office in a big building with elevators. We just meet at the house and talk about what needs to be done for the next crop. Changlang is a bit far from the big markets, so a lot of our time is spent worrying about how to get our stuff sold. We are just ordinary people, not business experts. We learn as we go, and we make plenty of mistakes along the way. There aren't any fancy brochures or big promises here. We just show up every morning, work the land, and try to make sure the company stays afloat for another season. It’s a very simple, honest way of living, and our company is just a small part of that daily grind.
