Ollo Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in Village Laju, which is up in the Khonsa area of Tirap. We are just a group of local farmers who decided to join forces. Farming is how most people here in the village make their living. We wanted a company that would actually belong to us instead of someone from outside. Our office is a very basic place right here in Laju. We don't have any fancy signs or expensive furniture. It’s just a quiet spot where we can sit down and figure out our plans for the season. Most of the time, you won’t find us in the office because we are busy in the fields. Tirap is quite remote, so we have to look out for each other. We help our members with getting seeds and finding people who want to buy our crops. It’s not a very sophisticated business, and we don’t use any corporate talk. We just speak plainly about what needs to be done. If you visit us, you’ll see we are just regular folks who care about our land. We are trying to build something that lasts for our families and our village. It’s slow going, but we are making progress one step at a time. We just keep working and keep it simple.
