Tenzingang Farmer Producer Company Limited is our group, and we are located right in Camp No 1 Village. If you are looking for us, we're usually over at Lobsang Yeshi’s place. Tenzingang is a unique spot, and the people in the camp have always been close-knit. We started this company because we wanted to give the local farmers a bit more of a say in how things are done. We aren't corporate types; we are just neighbors who work the land. Most of our days are spent out in the fields or talking about the water and the weather. We use Lobsang Yeshi’s house as our main point of contact because it’s easy for everyone to get to. There isn't anything particularly fancy about what we do. We just grow what we can and try to help each other out when the harvest comes around. Being in Camp No 1 means we all see each other every day anyway, so a producer company just made sense to keep things official. We don't have any big promises to make, just that we’re going to keep working hard like we always have. It’s a lot of physical labor and sometimes the results aren't what we hoped for, but that's just farming life. We’re just glad to be doing it together as a team in Tenzingang. There is a lot of heart in what we do every morning.
