Our group is called Khimiyongagro Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are located at 1 Mile in the Namtok area, which is part of Changlang in Arunachal Pradesh. Monlik Songthing is who we are care of, and that is where we do our main business. The 792120 area is home to a lot of hardworking people who know the soil better than anything else. We decided to start this company because we wanted a way for the local producers here to have a bit more say in how things are done. It is not a fancy office with big desks. It is just a place where we gather to talk about seeds, seasons, and the prices we are getting. We have all been farming for a long time, and we know how unpredictable the weather in Changlang can be. Some years are good, some are a struggle. Having this producer company makes the bad years a little easier to handle because we are not doing it all alone. Monlik helps keep us organized, which is good because most of us would rather be outside than doing paperwork. We are just trying to keep our traditions going while making sure the work is actually worth it. It is a simple life at 1 Mile, but it is ours. We do not need much, just a fair chance to sell what we grow. We are just local folks keeping the farms alive and looking out for one another.
