Sharad Exports

Sharad Exports is run out of 68/19 in Porewal Colony. It’s a residential-feeling area, so we try to keep things quiet so we don't bother the neighbors too much. We mostly deal with exporting goods that we source from local makers. The house we use for the office is full of boxes and packing tape. You can usually hear the sound of tape dispensers going all afternoon. It’s a small operation. My brother does the packing and I handle the emails and the shipping documents. We don't have a big warehouse, so we have to move things out as soon as they’re ready. Sometimes the delivery van struggles to turn around in the narrow street, but we make it work. We’ve been here for a few years now. The front room is where we keep the samples, and the back is for the actual work. It’s a bit disorganized during the busy season, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a sign out front, just the house number. Most of our clients are overseas, so they don’t see the office anyway. We just focus on getting the boxes packed tight so nothing breaks. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. Sometimes we sit on the porch to take a break when the weather is nice. It’s just a family business trying to do things right.
