Fresh Agro Food

Our place is located at 590-R in Model Town. It’s a pretty decent neighborhood and we’ve been here long enough that most of the local people recognize us when we walk by. Fresh Agro Food is basically all about getting things from the farm to people's tables. It sounds a lot easier than it actually is in reality. Every morning starts very early for us, usually well before the sun is even up, because that’s when the big delivery trucks start coming in. The office is tucked away in a corner, and it’s usually filled with the smell of whatever produce is currently in season. We spend a lot of our time on the phone talking to different suppliers and making sure the quality is actually what it should be. Sometimes things go wrong, like a truck breaking down on the highway or the heavy rain ruining a batch of crops, and we have to scramble to fix the mess. It’s definitely not a glamorous job. There’s a whole lot of lifting and moving heavy boxes around. The floor is usually a bit damp from the morning cleaning. We don't have a big corporate team here, just a handful of us who really know how to handle the produce. We’ve got a small break area where we probably drink way too much tea and talk about the daily news. Model Town is a busy spot, so there is always something happening outside the window.
