Abony Prints

If you walk down Geeta Mandir Road, you’ll find Abony Prints. We aren’t hard to spot, especially with the smell of ink and chemicals hanging around the entrance. It’s a noisy area because of the bus stand nearby, so there’s always someone shouting or a horn honking. We’ve been in this spot for years, and the walls are pretty stained with different colors from all the printing jobs we’ve done. We don't have a showroom or anything fancy. It’s basically just the workshop and a small corner with a desk where we handle the bills. Sometimes the rollers on the machines get stuck, and we have to spend half the morning fixing them with grease and a wrench. It’s messy work. Most of us go home with ink under our fingernails that doesn't come off for days. We don't have a big team, just a few guys who know how to run the screens. We take the orders as they come and try to keep the mistakes to a minimum, though things happen when you’re working fast. When it rains, we have to move everything away from the door because the water splashes inside. It’s just a regular local shop where we get things done as best as we can.
