Panipat Woollen Yarn Centre

We are located right near Hotel Singh Palace, which is how most people find their way to us. It’s a pretty simple setup we have here. We mostly deal with woollen yarn, so the shop is always filled with bags and bundles of different types of wool. You can smell the wool as soon as you walk in the door. We spend a lot of time sorting through colors and checking the weight of the different yarns we get in. It's not a high-tech business by any means. We use old scales and keep our records in notebooks for the most part. People from all over come in looking for specific types of yarn for their knitting projects or for making rugs. We’ve been here for quite some time, so we know most of the regulars who come in every season. It gets a bit cold in the winters, which is when we are usually the busiest. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for people to stop by. Sometimes it’s quiet and we just sit and organize the shelves, and other times it’s a bit of a rush with everyone wanting something at once. We like the pace of life here near the hotel. It’s a steady job and it feels good to be part of the local trade.
