Sayed Souns & Light

Sayed Souns & Light is tucked away in Sarafa Bazar Rui Katla 8. We deal with sound systems and lighting for all sorts of local events. Most of our days are spent checking speakers, winding up long cables, and making sure the lights are working right. It is a bit of a cluttered shop because there is always some piece of equipment being tested or repaired on the floor. We have big speakers for outdoor programs and smaller ones if someone just wants some music for a small party at home. My father started this because he liked electronics, and I grew up helping him carry the heavy boxes. We don't have a big marketing team or a website. People usually find us by word of mouth or by seeing our name on the equipment at a function. It is a noisy business, especially when we are testing the bass levels in the morning. Sometimes the neighbors complain, but they usually understand. We go all over the city to set up, but this shop is our main base. It is not a very tidy place, but we know where every wire and bulb is. We just want to make sure that when someone has a celebration, the music is loud enough and the lights are bright. It is practical work and we take it as it comes.
