Mishrilal & Sons

Mishrilal & Sons is located at shop number 38 in the Mill Gate Super Market. Being in a super market means we are surrounded by all kinds of other businesses. It is a lively place to be. Our shop has been around for many years, started by the elders in the family. We carry a bit of everything that a household might need. The shelves are packed tight, and sometimes things are stacked so high we have to use a long stick to get them down. It is not the most organized system, but we usually know where everything is kept. The floor is made of old grey stone and has some cracks here and there from years of heavy boxes being dragged across it. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of big wall fans that hum loudly all day. We spend a lot of time talking to the other shop owners nearby. We share news and sometimes help each other out with change. Our customers are mostly regulars who have been coming to us for decades. They trust us to give them a fair deal. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or posters. We just stand behind the counter and wait to see who comes in next. It is a traditional way of doing things and it has worked for our family for a long time.
