Khushnuma Light Decoration

We are located on the main road in Indra Colony, right at number 327. If you walk past, you will see a lot of wires, bulbs, and metal frames scattered around. This is where we put together the decorations for different events and festivals in the area. It is a bit of a chaotic looking place because there is always something being repaired or tested. We spend a lot of time untangling long strings of lights and checking to see which bulbs have burnt out. It’s a lot of manual work, climbing up and down ladders and hauling heavy bundles of wire into the back of a truck. The shop itself is mostly a storage space for all the gear we use. When the wedding season comes around, we are hardly ever in the shop because we are out at different locations setting everything up. But during the off season, we sit here and fix the equipment. The floor is usually covered in bits of tape and wire clippings. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. People usually come here because they know we have been doing this for a while and we know how to handle the electrics. The traffic on the main road is always loud, so we have to speak up when we are talking to customers. It’s a bit of a messy job with all the dust and the electrical stuff, but it’s what we do every day.
