Shiv Shankar Marbel & Granite

Our yard is located on the Abu Road Highway, right near Hotel Patel. It is a busy place to be because of all the trucks and cars heading up and down the highway. We have been here for a good number of years now. It is a lot of granite and marble sitting out in the open. We spend our days loading and unloading trucks and talking to people who stop by. The wind can get quite strong out here on the highway, blowing dust everywhere, but we just deal with it. We are a small team, mostly just family and a few workers. We don't have a big polished office. It’s just a simple room with some old chairs where we sit and discuss the orders. People mostly find us because they are staying at the hotel or they see our sign from the road. We don't believe in making things more complicated than they need to be. If we have the stone you want, we tell you. If we don't, we might know where you can find it. The ground gets quite muddy when it rains, making it hard to move the heavy pieces around, but that is just how it goes. We’ve been part of this highway community for a long time and we know most of the other business owners nearby. It’s a decent way to make a living and we hope to be here for a long time yet.
