Aradhana Marble

We are based in Village Ambaji, which is in the Banaskantha district. Our yard is situated on Himmatnagar Road, very close to the famous Ambaji Temple. Because of the temple, there are always lots of people and cars around our place. We work with marble, which is very common in this part of the country. We don't have a shiny showroom or a team of salesmen. It is just a few of us here every day, moving heavy slabs of marble and showing them to anyone who stops by. The area is quite dusty and the sun can be very strong, so it’s a tough environment to work in. We have lived in this village our whole lives, so we know the local business very well. We don't use any fancy language or try to impress people with big words. We just show the marble as it is. Most of our customers are people visiting the temple who decide to look at stone for their homes. We keep the slabs out in the open so they are easy to see from the road. Sometimes the traffic gets so bad that we just sit and watch the people go by. It’s a simple way of living and we have been doing this for many years now. We like being part of the community here near the temple. We just focus on our work and try to be helpful to those who come in.
