Pazhayannur Vegetable Farmer Producer Company Limited is based at Lakshmi Nivas in Pudussery. We are at 16/220, which is just a regular house turned into an office space. We mostly work with vegetable growers in the Pazhayannur area. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure the vegetables get picked and sent to the markets while they are still fresh. Some days are really hectic when the harvests come in all at once and the trucks are waiting. Other days are slower, and we just sit and talk about what to plant next season. We are local people, and we know the farmers by their first names. It’s not a corporate setup at all. We just use a few rooms in the house to keep our records and hold our meetings. Sometimes we have tea and spend more time talking than working, but that’s how real relationships are built here. We deal with whatever problems come up, like pests or transport issues or low prices. It is honest work and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We are just a group of people trying to get the best for our vegetables. Pudussery is our home, and we’re glad to be working here. It’s simple, it’s local, and it keeps us busy from one harvest to the next. We just keep going.
