Our workplace is at V-192 in Kallingal, right by the Thiruvalathur Post office area. It is a bit out of the way from the main towns, which actually works out well for the kind of stuff we handle. We deal with chemicals that farmers use for their crops and to keep their land in good shape. The building is an old, sturdy structure that has been through many rainy seasons over the years. Inside, you will see stacks of containers and big bags piled up in every corner. It involves a lot of keeping track of what we have and where it is going. We have to be very careful about how we store everything so it stays dry and doesn't get ruined by the heat. The people who work here are mostly from the local village and have been part of the team for a long time. We don't bother with big meetings or corporate talk. We just take the orders as they come in, find the right stock, and get it ready for the trucks. Sometimes the paperwork for the chemicals gets a bit complicated, but we have a system that works for us. The office has an old ceiling fan that makes a clicking noise as it spins, and someone usually has a small radio playing in the background. It is a fairly quiet place until the big delivery trucks pull into the yard and everyone gets moving.
