Umargadh Agri Producer Company Limited

Umargadh Agri Producer Company Limited is based down in Palakkad, Kerala. We are located at Number 6/761 in Kottamutty, which is part of Chullimada near Kanjikode. It’s a very green area, typical for this part of Kerala. The office is close to the fields and the industrial zone. We are a group of producers who decided to come together. It’s not a fancy setup. We have a small room with a few chairs and a table where we hold our meetings. Usually, there’s a lot of arguing and talking before we decide on anything. That’s just how it is with a producer company. Everyone has their own opinion. The humidity here is high, so we keep the windows open for the breeze. We deal with the crops that grow around here. It’s a lot of coordination between the different members. We don't have a big marketing budget or a website that looks professional. We just focus on getting the produce sold and making sure the paperwork is done for the government. Sometimes the rains make it hard to get around, but we manage. Most of us have been farming all our lives, so we know the struggles. We aren't here to make a quick buck. We are just trying to make the agriculture side of things a bit more organized for the people in Kanjikode. It’s hard work, but we are all in it together.
