Perumatty Mythri Mango Exports Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are over at 13/578 in the Sks Building. That is right in Perumatty. Our full name is Perumatty Mythri Mango Exports Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s a real mouthful, so most folks just call us the mango people. Perumatty is a place that gets very hot, which is why the mangoes grow so well in the local orchards. The Sks Building is a sturdy concrete structure. Our office is on the ground floor. It stays relatively cool because of the thick walls and the shade. We have a lot of plastic crates stacked up outside most of the time. Inside, there are some desks and a lot of paperwork regarding the exports. We don't have a lot of fancy office stuff or nice paintings. Just a fan that clicks and a calendar on the wall with the harvest dates circled in red. The name Mythri means friendship, and we liked how that sounded with the mango business. We work with a lot of different farmers around the area. Every morning we check the fruit that comes in on the carts. The smell of ripe mangoes can be very strong in the afternoon heat. It’s a good smell though. Sometimes the trucks block the narrow road when they are loading up. Nobody really minds since everyone here is involved in farming. We just keep our heads down and get the fruit moving.
