Our place is located at Door No - 1/1243 in Koottanad, right in the Nagalassery part of Palakkad. If you know the area, you know it’s a big farming belt. Farmnet Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is where we gather to manage the day-to-day stuff. Palakkad can get really hot, so the office is a bit of a relief from the sun sometimes. We have a lot of people coming in from the surrounding villages. It’s not a polished setup. We have files stacked up and maps of the local farms on the walls. We spend our days coordinating between the growers and the buyers. It’s a lot of logistics and timing. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it’s dead quiet. We’ve been working out of this building for a while now. The neighbors are mostly other small businesses or families. We like it that way. It keeps us grounded in what’s actually happening on the ground. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just help move crops and make sure things stay on track. There’s a lot of trust involved in this kind of work. People know where to find us if there’s a problem. We’ve had long days and short nights, especially during the peak season. That’s just the nature of agro business in a place like Nagalassery.
