You can find us at Door Number 17 in Chellampottakalam, which is part of the Anamari area in Kollengode. This is where the Kollengode Kerasree Farmer Producer Company Limited operates. Kerasree is all about the coconut trees that you see everywhere around here. Kollengode is a really pretty place with all the green fields and the hills in the distance. We work out of a small building that used to be something else, but it serves us well now. We spend most of our time dealing with the coconut farmers. It’s a lot of talking about yields and husk prices and the weather. We aren't a polished corporate outfit. We’re just local people who know how much work goes into a coconut grove. Sometimes the office gets a bit crowded when everyone shows up at once, and we have to bring in extra chairs from the neighbor. We don't mind. It feels more like a community gathering than a business meeting half the time. We try to keep our records straight, but with so many different farmers involved, it’s a lot to track. We just do our best and keep moving forward. It’s honest work and we like being right here in Anamari. There’s no point in making things complicated with big words or fancy marketing. We just focus on the trees and the people who tend them every day. It's how things have always been done around here.
