Hortyco Farmers Producer Company Limited

Hortyco Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in the Eroth Building, number 11/450 B. We are located in Pathiyarakkara, which is over by Puthupanam. This company is basically a group of us who grow fruits, vegetables, and flowers in the surrounding areas. We call it horticulture in our papers, but to us, it’s just our daily work on the land. We formed this producer company so we could help each other out with selling what we grow. It is a lot of effort to find buyers and get a fair price when you are just one person working alone. By coming together at the Eroth Building, we can organize our harvests much better. We are not a big business with a lot of money. Most of our wealth is in the land and the plants we tend to every day. We meet up at the office to talk about which crops are doing well and how the weather might affect the next harvest. It is a very local thing. We all live nearby and know each other’s families well. There is no corporate ladder here. We are all on the same level, just trying to make the most of our small plots. If you stop by, you will probably see us sorting through crates or checking over some ledgers. It is not always organized perfectly, but we always get the job done for our members.
