Byrd Foods International Llp

Byrd Foods International Llp is based out of Nedukanni in Alathur. If you are driving through Palakkad, you might have seen our sign or the building where we do our processing. We deal with food products on a slightly larger scale, but it still feels like a small operation most of the time. The team here is mostly made up of people from the nearby villages. We spend our days sorting through ingredients and getting everything packed up for shipping. It is a lot of repetitive work, but we try to keep the atmosphere light. Palakkad can get very hot, especially in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning. We don't have a lot of fancy office equipment. Mostly, we just have the tools we need for the food side of things and a couple of desks for the paperwork. There are always challenges, like when a machine breaks down right in the middle of a big order or when the transport doesn't show up on time. We just deal with those things as they come. It’s a practical way to run a business. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to make sure the food we handle is good and that our workers are treated okay. It’s a steady job in a nice part of the country. We keep our heads down and just do what we need to. There is always a lot on our plates.
