National Spices & Dehydrates

Out here in Village Rithala, life moves at a different pace than the main city. National Spices & Dehydrates is located at Khasra No. 1110, Gali No. 18, right on Firni Road. If you take the turn at Plot No. 3, you'll find us. We spend a lot of our time dealing with raw spices and the drying process. Dehydration takes a lot of patience and the right weather, so we are always watching the sky. The air around the facility usually smells like turmeric or chili, depending on what we are processing that week. It’s a dusty area sometimes, especially when the trucks are coming in and out of Gali No. 18. We have a small crew from the local village who help with the sorting and the packing. It’s manual work mostly. We don't have a big corporate office; it’s just a practical space where we can get the work done. The machines for dehydrating need constant looking after, so someone is always walking around checking the temperatures. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, and the neighbors on Firni Road are used to the noise. It’s just how we earn our living. We process the spices, bag them up, and send them off to the markets. It isn't glamorous, but spices are something everyone needs in their kitchen, so we stay busy throughout the year. Most of our days are spent in the warehouse area.
