Shut Up And Eat Spice

Our shop is located in Garg Plaza, specifically shop number twenty-three in the Sainik Vihar area of Pitampura. We are quite close to gate number three of Keshav Mahavidhyalya, so we get plenty of students coming by between their classes. The name of the place is Shut Up And Eat Spice, which some people think is funny, but it’s just a name we liked. It’s a small space, really more of a takeaway spot than a big restaurant. I spend most of my shift behind the counter handling orders. It gets really busy around the afternoon when the college lets out. We have a small kitchen in the back where the magic happens. It smells like roasted spices all day long. We don't have a lot of room for people to sit, so you’ll often see groups standing outside on the pavement eating their food. It’s a lively atmosphere. Delhi summers can be tough in a small shop, but we keep the exhaust fans running. We try to get every order right, even when five people are talking at once. My cousin helps me out during the peak hours. We aren't trying to be a five-star place. We just want to serve the kind of food we like to eat ourselves. It’s a bit chaotic at times, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep cooking and serving every single day for the crowd.
