Vande Matarm Masale

We are based at House No. 107 in Gaon Karala, right in Sector 37. If you are looking for us, we are on Main Dada Mandu Wali Gali. It’s a bit of a squeeze getting down the lane sometimes, especially if a cart is coming the other way. Vande Matarm Masale is basically us working out of this space to get spices ready. The whole area usually smells like cumin or chili or turmeric, depending on what we are grinding that morning. It’s not a big factory with conveyor belts. It is more of a hands-on thing where we check the bags ourselves and make sure the grinders are running right. Some days the dust from the peppers makes everyone sneeze, but that is just part of the job. We grew up around these smells and it felt natural to start doing this for a living. We don't have any marketing people or a sales team. It’s just us and the neighbors who come by to see what we’ve got ready. We fill the bags, seal them up, and get them ready to go out. The house is always busy with something happening, whether it’s a delivery coming in or someone stopping by for a chat. It’s a very local way of doing things here in Karala. We just focus on the work and hope the machines don't act up too much during the day while we get everything weighed and packed.
