Mayur Photo Mount

Mayur Photo Mount is a small shop located at W - 176 Chandrashekhar Gali No 5 Babarpur Shahdara. We focus on one thing mostly, which is making those cardboard mounts and frames for photos that people want to keep. The shop is tucked into a narrow lane in Shahdara, so it is not the easiest place to find if you are not from around here. Inside, you will find piles of mount board in different colors and a lot of cutting tools. We spend a lot of time measuring things out by hand and making sure the edges are straight. It is a quiet kind of work compared to the noisy streets of Babarpur outside. We have been in Gali No 5 for a long time, and many of the people who come to us are neighbors or people who have been told about us by their parents. We do not have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters every morning and wait for people to bring in their pictures. Sometimes it is an old wedding photo that needs a new border, and other times it is a school certificate. We treat everything the same way, just trying to do a tidy job so the photo looks nice when it is hung on a wall. It is a modest business, but it keeps us going and we like being part of the community here.
