Durga Gift Emporim

We've been running Durga Gift Emporim here in East Rotash Nagar for a good while now. The shop is right across from Sunder Medical Store, which is how most people find us if they haven't been here before. Shahdara can get pretty busy, especially in the evenings when everyone is out for their walks or running errands. Our space isn't huge, but we try to keep it filled with things people might need for a quick birthday or an anniversary. You'll see a lot of photo frames, some decorative statues, and a bunch of different wrapping papers tucked in the corners. Every morning starts with a lot of dusting because the road outside brings in quite a bit of dirt. It’s just me and a couple of others here most days. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just drop in when they’re passing by. Sometimes someone stays for ten minutes just looking at the keychains or the mugs. We’ve seen kids grow up in this neighborhood, coming in first for small toys and later for things to give their friends. It’s a quiet kind of work, mostly just organizing the shelves and making sure the glass cases are clean. The lights in the back flicker a bit sometimes, but we know where everything is even in the dark. It’s just a regular local shop where we keep things simple and wait for the next person to walk through the door.
