Jainson Appliances

Walking into our place at K-94 in Karawal Nagar, you’ll probably notice it’s a bit cramped. Jainson Appliances has been squeezed into this part of Shahdara for a long time. We have stacks of boxes everywhere, mostly filled with the small kitchen gadgets we put together. It’s a lively neighborhood, maybe a bit too lively when the traffic gets stuck right outside our door. Sometimes the delivery trucks can't even get down the street, so we have to carry things by hand to the main road. The workers here have been with us for years, so we all know each other’s business. We usually start early in the morning before it gets too crowded. The office is just a small corner with an old computer and a lot of registers. I spend most of my time on the phone or checking the assembly line to see why a machine is making a weird clicking sound. We make a lot of different appliances, and things can get messy when we are switching from one batch to another. There’s always someone coming in for a cup of tea or to drop off a bill. It’s a bit chaotic, but it works for us. We don’t have a big showroom or anything like that. People just know where we are. It’s a hard-working spot, and we just try to keep the wheels turning without too much trouble in the middle of all this city noise.
