Bhushan Baker'S is right in the middle of the Main Market in Bhajanpura, at C-397. If you know the market, you know it’s always crowded and noisy. We’ve been here for a long time. The ovens start going early in the morning, way before most people are even awake. By the time the sun is up, the whole street smells like fresh bread and biscuits. It’s a small shop, and most of the space is taken up by the big ovens in the back. The front part is just a few glass cases where we put out the rusks, buns, and cakes. It gets really hot inside, especially in the summer, but we’re used to it. People from the neighborhood stop by all day long. Some just want a packet of biscuits for their tea, others come for birthday cakes. We don't have any fancy machines; a lot of it is still done by hand. The floors are always a bit dusty with flour. We know our customers well, many have been coming since they were kids. Bhajanpura is a tight-knit place, even with all the traffic and the noise from the market. We just keep baking what people like. We don't do any big advertising. The smell of the bread usually does the job for us. It’s just a regular family bakery, trying to keep the ovens hot and the shelves full every day of the week.
