Vidya Bharati School

Vidya Bharati School is located in Rohini Sector 15 in Delhi. It is a multi-story building tucked into the residential area. Space is a bit tight like it is everywhere in this part of Delhi, so the playground is modest but the kids still find enough room to run around. We have a lot of stairs and the corridors can get quite crowded when the bell rings for the end of the day. The classrooms are filled with wooden benches and we have big windows, though they mostly look out onto other buildings or the street. It can get pretty loud with the traffic from the main road nearby, but we just keep the doors closed during lessons. We have a small staff room where the teachers sit and grade papers while drinking tea. It’s a very traditional school environment. We have a notice board by the entrance where we pin up all the important dates and information for parents. Most of the families who send their children here live in the surrounding blocks of Rohini. We have been here for quite some years now and the building shows its age in some spots, with some cracks in the plaster or faded paint. We don’t have fancy equipment, just the regular stuff you need for a school like chalk, boards, and books. We just focus on our daily work and keeping things moving. Every morning starts with a simple prayer in the hall.
