About Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan – Education in New Delhi
Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan sits right on Ridge Road, which is a very green part of the city. Being in the Dhaula Kuan area means we are close to a lot of military housing, so many of our students come from those families. The campus is quite spread out and has many old trees that have been there for decades. It's a bit of a walk from the front gate to some of the back buildings. The classrooms are simple and have seen thousands of students pass through them over the years. We have big sports fields where the kids spend their energy during lunch and after school. The morning assembly is a daily habit where everyone gathers before starting their lessons. You can hear the traffic from the Ridge Road outside, but mostly it's just the sounds of a school. Teachers here have their own routines and the staff room is always a mess of books and tea cups. We don't go for anything too flashy or modern; it’s a very functional place. Sometimes the walls need a bit of paint and the fans can be a bit noisy in the summer heat. We just focus on the daily schedule and making sure the students are where they need to be. When the final bell rings, the place clears out pretty quickly as the buses head out into the Delhi traffic. It’s just how things go here.
