We started Adriel High School over here at 3/139 on the second floor in Sunder Vihar. It isn’t one of those massive campuses with huge fields, but we have our classrooms set up and ready for the students every day. Most of us who work here live close by in New Delhi. We deal with the daily traffic and the heat just like everyone else in the neighborhood. Parents often stop by the office just to talk about how their kids are doing or to ask about some school paperwork. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure everyone shows up on time. It gets quite noisy when the kids are on break, but that is just how it is with a school. We have been at this address for a while now. Some days are a bit stressful when the power cuts out and the fans stop, but we keep things moving as best as we can. It’s just a regular place where teaching happens. We don’t have fancy lobbies or polished marble floors. It is mostly just wooden desks, green boards, and stacks of notebooks. We know most of the families around here. Sometimes the stairs are a bit much for the older grandparents when they come to pick up the children. We just try to keep the environment decent and honest for the students. New Delhi life is fast and loud, so we try to stay organized within these walls.
