If you are walking around the Inner Circle in Connaught Place, you will find us at K-44. We are on the first floor, right opposite the Pvr Plaza. It’s a famous spot, so it’s easy to find, though the stairs up to the first floor can be a bit steep. Our space is filled with textiles and fabrics. We focus on block printing, which is a slow and traditional way of doing things. The rooms are usually packed with stacks of cloth in different colors and patterns. It smells like dye and cotton in here. We spend our time showing people the different designs and explaining how they are made. It’s not a high-tech operation. We rely on the skill of the people who carve the blocks and the ones who do the printing by hand. Sometimes the colors come out slightly different between batches, but that’s just how it goes when you aren't using a machine. The shop can get quite crowded on weekends when people are out shopping in CP. We have a few staff members who have been with us for years. They know every pattern by heart. We don't have a fancy sales pitch. We just let the fabric speak for itself. It’s a lot of folding, unfolding, and chatting with customers who appreciate the craft. We’ve been in this location for a long time and we like the rhythm of life in the heart of the city.
