Living and working in Dwarka Sector 9 means dealing with a lot of city noise. R D Rajpal School sits right in the middle of it all here in Delhi 110077. Our building is easy to spot if you are driving through the sector. We have a lot of classrooms and the stairs always feel like a workout by the time afternoon rolls around. The staff room is usually full of tea cups and stacks of notebooks that need checking. We have a routine that hasn't changed much over the years. The morning assembly is when everyone is finally in one place before they scatter to their desks. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the office and the main gates. We have a playground area that gets a lot of use, even if the grass isn't always as green as we want it to be. The sun hits the front of the school pretty hard in the summer months. Most of us have been here long enough to know all the shortcuts through the hallways. It’s just a busy school life. We deal with broken pencils, lost water bottles, and the occasional rainy day that floods the driveway. It is a local place for local families. We don’t put on a show, we just open the doors every morning and see what the day brings for the kids. It’s just how things work in our neighborhood.
