Pahadi Ki Dukan

Pahadi Ki Dukan is situated in the middle of the rush at Chhota Bazar in Shahdara, specifically at house number 495. If you have ever been to Chhota Bazar, you know how narrow the lanes are and how much noise there is all day long. We opened this place to bring things from the hills down to the city. We have all sorts of stuff like pulses, honey, and traditional things that people from the mountains miss when they move to Delhi. The shop is small and the shelves are usually packed tight with bags and jars. It smells like spices and earth in here, which is a nice change from the dusty air outside in Shahdara. We get our supplies from small places up north and try to keep things as natural as we can. It is not a supermarket; it is more like a place where you come to find that one specific thing your grandmother used to cook with. We talk to our customers a lot, mostly about where the food comes from and how to use it. The area is always crowded, so getting our stock delivered can be a real pain sometimes, but we manage. We have been at 495 for a bit now, and people have started recognizing us. We just want to provide honest goods from the mountains to the folks living here in the city. It is a simple life and a simple business.
