Mallika Crafts

Mallika Crafts is over here at 80-A, M. M. Janpath. If you’ve ever walked down Janpath, you know how it gets with all the tourists and people looking for deals. Our place is tucked in there, and honestly, it’s a bit small for all the stuff we try to keep inside. We have all sorts of crafts sitting on the shelves. Some days it’s so hot that we just sit near the fan and wait for the evening breeze. The shop has been here for a while, and the walls have seen better days. We don't really bother with making it look like those big showrooms you see in the malls. It’s just a place to work and sell things. Sometimes we get a big shipment and there’s nowhere to put it, so we just stack it near the door and trip over it for a few days. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, and we usually end up drinking three or four cups of tea with them throughout the day. It’s a bit of a slow life, but it keeps us busy enough. We just try to keep the items clean and hope people like what they see when they walk in. It’s not a complicated business, but it’s what we do every day without fail.
