India Arts Palace

If you walk into Sunder Nagar Market and look for number 33, that is where India Arts Palace is located. It is a busy little market and parking is always a nightmare, but we have been here long enough that we don’t really mind the chaos anymore. The shop is filled with all sorts of things, mostly items we’ve collected or had made over the years. It is a bit of a maze inside. We have things on shelves, on the floor, and sometimes hanging from the ceiling. It’s not one of those modern shops where everything is spaced out perfectly. We like it a bit crowded. It feels more real that way. Usually, one of us is sitting near the front door just watching the people go by in the market. We get a mix of regulars and people who just got lost looking for the park. The walls have some marks on them from moving crates around, but we haven't gotten around to painting them yet. It doesn't affect the work we do. Most of our time is spent checking the inventory or talking to the guys who bring us new stock. Sunder Nagar has a certain smell in the winter, a mix of street food and old dust, and it drifts right into the shop. We just keep the door open and wait to see who comes in. It’s a messy place but it’s how we like it.
