Daurala Sugar Works - Division Of Dcm Shriram Industries Ltd

Our office is in the Kanchenjunga Building on Barakhamba Road. If you know Delhi, you know that building. It’s one of the older ones. Daurala Sugar Works has been around for a very long time as part of DCM Shriram. Even though the name sounds big, our daily work is just about sugar and industrial operations. The building has that old-school feel, with high ceilings and heavy doors. It’s busy around here with all the people heading to Connaught Place nearby. We don't use much of that corporate speak you hear nowadays. We just deal with the sugar production side and the distribution. There are piles of reports and sugar samples in some of the rooms. Some days are stressful when the harvest season is on, and the phones don't stop ringing. We just take it one day at a time. The elevators in Kanchenjunga can be slow, so we wait and chat. It’s a mix of old traditions and trying to keep up with the new rules. We don't have a fancy lounge for guests; you just come in and sit by the desk. It’s a straightforward environment. People here have been working in sugar for decades. We know the business inside out, but we don't feel the need to shout about it. We just do the work.
