Ahmad Brothers

Ahmad Brothers is located at Shop No. 14 in Janta Market, right in the thick of the Munirka furniture market. It is a very busy place to be, and there is almost always the smell of wood shavings and polish in the air. We have been in this shop for a long time, and most of the other shopkeepers around here know us by name. It is a family thing, so there are usually a couple of us around to help out with whatever needs doing. The shop itself is packed with different pieces, and sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room to turn around. We spend a lot of our time moving chairs or tables to the front so people passing by can see them clearly. Munirka is a crowded area, so getting deliveries in and out can be a real headache with the narrow lanes and all the traffic. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and take notes. Most of our day is spent talking to customers who are looking for something specific for their homes. We tell them what we can do and how long it might take to get it ready. There is no big secret to how we work; we just show up every morning, open the shutters, and get to it until it is time to head home. It is hard work, but we are used to the routine by now.
