Calpro Foods Pvt. Ltd. is also right here at Saraswati Houses, A-5. Even though the name is similar to others, we have our own specific way of doing things. Our space is basically a hub for food products that end up in kitchens all over the place. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and looking at clipboards to track what’s coming in and what’s going out. The air usually smells like grain or whatever dry goods we happen to be moving that day. It’s a busy environment where you have to watch your step because of the forklifts and the stacked crates. We aren't a company that puts a lot of effort into a fancy lobby or nice paintings on the wall. We care more about whether the loading dock is clear and if the orders are packed right. It’s practical, everyday work. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time, and the building has become like a second home to most of us. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks or the lights flicker, but we just fix it and keep going. We don't have a lot of meetings; we usually just talk across the room to get things sorted. It’s a straightforward way to spend a workday. We like the location because it’s convenient for the trucks, and that’s really what matters most for what we do here.
