Y.K. Engineering Works

Our workshop is at Gala No. 4 near the Patil Compound in Gokhawli Gaon which is part of the Rabale area. It is a small space but we manage to fit all our lathes and milling machines inside. Y.K. Engineering Works is the kind of place where you have to watch your step because there might be a pile of metal shavings or a stray tool on the floor. We do a lot of small repairs and custom parts for people who stop by the shop. It is mostly just us working away with the sound of the radio playing in the background over the noise of the drills. We do not have a secretary or a waiting room. Usually if someone wants to talk to us they just walk right into the gala and find us at one of the benches. Rabale is a busy spot for this kind of work and we have been here long enough to know most of the other shop owners around the compound. We do not use any complicated words to describe what we do. We just take the metal and cut it or weld it until it is what the customer needs. Sometimes we stay late to finish a job if a machine breaks down but that is just part of the life here. It is honest work and we do it day in and day out without much fuss.
