We are located in the Rabale section of the TTC MIDC industrial area. Our unit is R-967. It’s an industrial neighborhood, so there is always something going on outside with trucks and deliveries. We’ve been working as engineers here for quite a few years. Our days are mostly about fabrication and technical projects. It’s dusty work sometimes, and the shed can get warm during the summer months, but that’s the nature of engineering in an industrial zone. We have a set of machines and a crew that knows how to use them. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. Word usually gets around through other businesses in Rabale. We focus on the blueprints and making sure the steel or whatever material we are using is handled right. Some of us have been here since the start. We usually have lunch together in the small break area. It’s a simple setup where the work comes first. If someone needs a part made or a structural issue looked at, they come to R-967. We try to keep things organized, though in a workshop, things always have a way of getting a bit cluttered with tools. It's just how we work. Nothing too complicated, just honest engineering done by people who live nearby and care about the results. We stay busy with the local projects and keep the machinery running well. It’s a solid way to make a living in the MIDC belt.
