T.V.S. Engineering Industries

The shop at Plot No.B-10 in the Puneet Industrial Estate is where we spend most of our waking hours. If you’ve ever been down Thane Belapur Road in Turbhe, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and the heat. T.V.S. Engineering Industries isn't one of those places with a glass front and a receptionist. It’s a real working space with the smell of grease and the sound of machines running. We’ve got some old equipment that still works better than the new stuff, and we take care of it. Our floor is usually covered in some metal scraps by midday, but we sweep up before heading home. The guys in the back have been with us for a long time. We eat lunch together in the small room near the office. Sometimes it gets really hot in the summer, but we just keep the fans going and get through the orders. People come by asking for things, and we tell them honestly what we can do and how long it’ll take. There’s no big corporate manual here. We just know the trade and we do it every day. It’s loud and it’s messy sometimes, but that’s engineering for you. Being in Turbhe means there’s always something happening outside on the main road, but inside B-10, we just focus on the parts we’re making.
