The MIDC area in Khairane is huge and can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. Our place is at A86, right on the Thane Belapur Road in Navi Mumbai. It’s a good location for us, even though the main road is always jammed with tankers and trucks. Our facility is quite big because the engineering projects we take on require a lot of room for assembly. You can usually see sparks from the welding stations from the moment you walk through the main gate. The office is actually on the upper level, so we can look down through the windows and see what’s happening on the production floor. It gets very hot under the industrial roof, so we have these massive fans running all the time to try and stay cool. Our desks are usually buried under big rolls of blueprints and technical files. We don't wear suits or ties here; it’s mostly just work shirts and heavy boots. We have seen this part of Thane change a lot over the years as more companies move in. Even though the area has grown, our daily routine stays pretty much the same. We focus on the steel fabrication and making sure the measurements are exactly what they need to be. It’s a steady job that keeps us all busy from morning until evening.
