Down at Plot No. R599 in the TTC Industrial Area of Rabale, you’ll find Sunesons Engineering & Fabrications Pvt Ltd. Navi Mumbai is a big place, but this little corner is where we do all our fabrication work. The shop is filled with welding machines and cutting tools. It gets pretty loud when everything is running at once, so we usually have to shout to be heard. We work on a lot of different structures and metal pieces depending on what people ask for. It’s a hands-on job and nobody here is afraid of getting a little dirty. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to polish up our image. We’re just a group of guys who know how to weld and build things out of steel. The floor is often covered in scraps and sparks fly quite a bit. We try to keep things moving so we don't get a huge pileup of projects. Some of the guys have been here since we first opened the doors in Rabale. We’ve seen the industrial area change a lot, but the basic work of fabrication hasn't changed that much. It’s about getting the measurements right and making sure the welds hold up. We eat our lunch together in the small break area and then get right back to the machines. It’s a simple life, but we like seeing the finished products leave the shop.
