Our spot at K-15 in Phase-II, Sector 19, is right in the middle of the Vashi APMC market. If you know the area, you know it never really sleeps. Freezers hum in the background constantly because we deal with frozen foods. It stays cold inside even when the sun is beating down on the market lot outside. Most of our time is spent checking temperatures and moving heavy boxes around. The morning starts very early here. You can hear the shutters going up all along the row before dawn. Trucks arrive at odd hours and we have to be ready to unload. It’s a practical space, mostly just storage and a few desks for the paperwork. There isn't much decor to speak of, just white walls and heavy doors. Sometimes the traffic in Sector 19 is a total mess, especially when the big lorries are trying to turn. We’ve been here at Market-1 for a good while. Local people know us as the frozen food guys. We don't do much advertising; the location does most of the work for us. It’s a busy, messy, honest kind of life. Mostly we just make sure the stock is handled right and the orders get out. That's about it for us, just keeping things cold in a hot, crowded city.
