There are trucks coming in at all hours and the sound of the cooling units is always in the background. It’s a big space because we need the room for the cold storage. We handle a lot of food products that need to stay chilled, so we are always checking the temperatures. The office is just a small part of the building. Most of the action happens on the loading docks. Vashi is a great spot for this kind of work because of the market being so close. It can get really humid, but inside the units, it’s always freezing. We have a crew that works in shifts to make sure nothing goes wrong with the power. It is a lot of responsibility to keep the food fresh, but we have been doing it for years now. We aren't big on marketing or fancy talk. We just focus on the machines and the logistics of moving food from one place to another. It’s a gritty, hands-on job.
